O is for Opportunity

Every moment.

Every moment is an opportunity.

An opportunity to reach someone, an opportunity to stretch your character. An opportunity to help someone who needs it, an opportunity to do something to get you one step closer to your dream. An opportunity to raise someone's spirits with a smile or a kind word, an opportunity to climb over your own "stuff" to reach for something bigger.

Some days, it seems like the roads we walk are full of obstacles, full of things we have to get through, full of things that make it hard and frustrating and UGH! But underneath all those things are opportunities.  Opportunities to prove that we are more than our obstacles, that we are more than our "stuff."  But when we look only at the stuff, only at the obstacles, only at how goshdarned hard and unfair it all is, we miss the opportunities.  We miss the chance to be better and bigger and more freakishly awesome than we are.
